V10 COP or Speed sensor?

So my V10 X is missing, especially going uphill, typically acts like one of the COP's is a problem, so I take the X to Autozone and O'Reilly's and their code reader's both say "output speed sensor insufficient input". Now O'Reilly's told me that typically if it was a coil issue the code reader would say something about the miss and show a cylinder. So I bought the speed sensor $20 part to see if that was a quick and. cheap fix. Any thoughts? It feels like a COP issue, even died when I tried to back uphill.

It's a COP or two.... after stalling you probably have a P0720/P0722 now. Been there.. done that.

The easy way would be to let a mechanic put it on the machine and tell you exactly which one... the hard way (but cheap) would be to buy a new one and move it around until the miss goes away.
