I did ball joints and a wheel bearing assy on a 2001 F350 dually today and I had to destroy the lockout to separate it from the hub. Are there aftermarket options to replace it and if so what's the best place to get them. Since I'm asking for everything else, how about part #'s. TIA!!
Edit: They are manual hubs.
I see them at summit for $165, Part# 449SS. They fave 6 allen bolts where the old ones are held in by a snap ring. Are these the correct ones? Anyone know of a cheaper source?
Im prett sure those are direct replacement. The cap screws into the internal hub body itself not the outside. The kit will probably come with a new o ring. I'm a huge fan of www.rockauto.com they will probably have them cheaper!
You can't go wrong with warn or mile marker. I have used both in the past with no complaints. I currently have warn hubs on my excursion, just be careful not to over tighten those Allen screws!
