Here's a list of some of the ScanGauge codes with the values for each one. EGT isn't there, that's somewhat a matter of opinion and where you install the probe for the gauge.

Here is a partial list of Xgauges with Ford's values.

Okay thanks guys.
So as far as temps for eot, ect, tranny and egt what should they be around, so I know what I should be looking at if\when I get them installed?
Awesome, that's exactly what I was looking for. So for the gauges, will eot ect tranny egt gauges be a good combination to get? Or is there any I should swap out for another?
I am propably going to do both. So far I have the SG2 (most bang for the buck) I will probably do a triple pod with Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure, and either a pyrometer checking manifold temp or a EGT (those where picked because they are guages that are usefull but compliment the SG2 (ie no duplicates). But that is dreams for another day. Right now I am still working on the assumption that my previous owner did nothing.... so installing blue spring kit and cleaning egr valve this weekend and the modified fuel drain. So catching up on mainternance.

Any benefits between oil pressure gauge vs. oil temp gauge, say in the event of troubleshooting or finding a problem before it starts to be a huge problem?
The sg2 has a oil temp guage so wasn't planning on that. I was looking at either a LP oil or HP oil.... prefereably HP oil but the indicator on the dash of my 04 is just a dummy light so may go with LP oil. You need low pressure oil to supply HP oil to fire the injectiors. So usefull info to have for the truck.

It's really your call. I have a large list of things programmed in my SG2 but I can only monitor 4 of them at any one time. I normally watch Voltage, EOT, ECT and BST. However if during towing or for some other reason you want to free those 2 slots up go ahead and get ECT and EOT. For me I will probably try to concentrate on guages and indicators that I don't already have but it is really personal choice. About the only thing that is a must is fuel pressure.... it is also the one thing the SG2 doesn't have.
