Finished up a lot of little things underneath, taillights on and all works, hood on, and bumper on. Power windows and door locks work, alarm with keyless entry works, stereo and amp works. Ready for the flatbed, my buddy is coming this week to shorten it and weld on mounting brackets. Here are some pics, lots more in my garage.
RT helped me mount the rear plate and hook up the light.
And the front.
Now just waiting for the flat bed to be shortened and mounted then I can drive it! Amazing how dusty it got just going around the shop a couple of times.
Thanks! I moved all the controls from the dash to the console except the ignition and lights. I also did custom door panels with pull door openers from a Toyota, and custom arm rests.
Nice chrome bumper, perfect, then I saw your top picture. Has anybody seen one of our trucks, with an original bumper, that didn't have one or two of those very common bumps to the left and right of the license plate???

Yep, most of them have that. This one is not as bad as the pic shows it but it is there. I've had some good ones over the years but people are willing to pay a lot for them. Most are the newer bumper, which this one is.
Nice! What did you use for the bed? I'm thinking of using composite decking. More durable than wood.
That's what I used. Holds up nice in this hot Cali sun. (forgot the manufacturer name)
Oversize your holes just a bit to allow for expansion/contraction. If you don't the composite will bow up when it heats up. Hard to tell it's not real wood unless you look at the end cuts.
Good luck. Sweat ride!
