Mines not a 6.9 but a 7.3 is so close that they might as well be the same thing. The turbo woke The Enterprise up quite a bit. I was very surprised. Trust me it's money well spent.
I have the BANKS sidewinder kit, I suspect that the ATS will perform just as well. Don't forget that Hypermax makes a system as well, but just be aware that it's not wastegated so it's power will still be there but just be a little more laggy.
My dad worked for a trucking company that had an early 90s f25o 7.3 with the banks turbo, they serious oil pressure problems, after they removed the turbo it was fine.
Nothing should have to be done to add the turbo. If the engine is healthy then you should experience no problems.
pfogle,
I talked to a guy that seen this same thing the oil pressure was very low on his gauge. What he found was the problem was where he was reading the oil pressure from. He had plumbed it into the feed line to the turbo. He moved it to another oil gallery and found that the oil pressure increased quite a bit. This was on an ATS system.
