I went with mac because I was staying as close to stock as possible. It went well and don't forget to get your connectors too. You will need somewhere around 30 of them,(extras never hurt) plus one big one. Hmm let me see...
i used a bob drake harness--fabric covered--25 years ago. fit very well. looks authentic. works very well. only issue i had was some connections were not crimped tight. i installed a fuse block as well.
Where did you use the large brown sleave connector?
There is one wire (horn?) that is a lot bigger than the rest. I only needed the one for that. I also forgot to mention dielectric grease to keep out the moisture.
I've wired about 6 Trucks totally complete front to rear. Mac's or Caarpenter's have very good quality Wire Harness, and there colored coded to factory specs. So you can use a shop manual for reference on the color codes.
The Dielectric is both a good moister, & corrosion preventive measure. For what its worth when inserting the wire ends into the connectors good idea is to use a pair of neddle nose pliers. Put these at the back of the bullett end and push the wire into the connector, as they are a tight fit as they should be, and dielectric sure helps.
