"engine wiring harness"

One of the wires leading into the connector to the uvch on the drivers side is somewhat bare and chafed. Can this be fixed or do i need to replace the whole harness? If so how involved is replacing this harness, it looks like a rather large harness or does it clip together somewhere?

If it is only one wire try to repair it. Check hardware and auto parts stores for some brush on electrical tape.
