Thats what most everyone runs here and they including myself are very happy with it. There are a few complaints from some guys but the bennifits out weigh them hands down. Some say its a little loud but who really cares

My truck came with the Ford AIS when I bought it - I never heard the turbo until I changed the exhaust. I rode in a truck with the 6637 and I asked what that "whining" was in the front... just before I realized this was the 6637 whine I'd been hearing about on the forum. It's a taste thing, but I find whining annoying... ever since I had that traumatic ordeal of raising three children.

My buddy had a K&N on his truck and it whistled and whined from under the hood all the time. Even he mentioned it gets annoying especially on long trips.

I am an all stock kind of guy. I will do some things to improve reliability and longevity but not at the sacrifice of annoying. lol

I had the 6637 for a number of years and it was great, but like others have mentioned the swishing/swooshing can get old. Went with an S&B and it is much tamer and I can't tell any performance difference at all. Yeah it was more expensive but I got the performance and manners I was looking for finally.

I just put the 6637 on BigRed and I am kinda disappointed ! When I put a fresh air on my F250 not a 6637 I had a nice mellow turbo whine when I hit it! Now I really don't hear anything diff than the stock air filter !! But I am not disappointed in how she runs!! Like a scalded dog!! But I did like to her that turbo spool up !

I got my 6637 today and installed it on my lunch break. Didnt have enough time to drive it. I left part of the original air box in... anyone else done this? Its just the bottom portion of the air inlet tube. You can see it in the bottom left part of the picture.
