uvch testing please help

uvch testing please help

Hi,,fairly new here and trying to pinpoint some promblems...I unplugged the connector on the driver side valve cover and Im counting 9 [male ] pins,,is this where I test with multimeter and does truck have to be on,running or what...sorry for ignorant questions,but just want to get it right...also what do I set my meter on..2,20,200 ? if someoneone can help...thank you so much

Yes, that is where you test the pins. The 9 male prongs exposed in the valve cover gasket. I don't know what meter you have, but you could probably set it on 20 and be fine.

IIRC, it goes GP,GP,Inj,Inj,ground,Inj,Inj,GP,GP. Can't rememeber what values you're looking for though. I'm sure someone will chime in with what ou need....

No, you're looking for a certain resistance value that would show if the injector solenoid is stuck open, or if the GP is burned out. WHat kinda problem are you having?
