Question metric?

I will be going down to get my new 1999 F150 next week (can't wait) and was turned on to this site by another ford enthusiast. After reading abit I didn't realize Iam going to need to invest in some metric tools. Is everything metric on the F150? Thanks for any info.

As far as I know most fasteners on most cars and trucks have been metric since about 1985 or so. That is a guess at the years. I doubt you will find standard sizes on anything after 1990 but I have been wrong before. I worked with a mechanic one summer and hardley EVER had to get the standard sockets for anything built late 80s to present.
