Instrument cluster light bulbs
I need to replace some of my instrument cluster bulbs and I wanted to know how many and of what type I would need? A couple of them are blown and I would like to replace all of them. But before I go tearing the dash apart, I would like to pick up the bulbs first. I know that if I was replacing them with Sylvania brand bulbs, they list both #37(tiny) and #161(small) for replacements. I also need to replace the bulbs where the temp controls are below the stereo. My truck is a 1997 F150. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, I have a Chilton's manual that only tells you how to remove them, but not how many and of what type. I didn't check my owner manual yet, but I will do that now. And it doesn't have it. It only has exterior(tail lights, headlight,etc) and the inside door lights if equipped.

For future reference to anyone who might need it, there are 4 of the bigger bulbs sylvania #161 in the instrument cluster and 2 #161 behind the temp controls. The smaller ones, sylvania #37 are for your control lights like check engine and so on. There were probably 12 of those on mine, but could be more on someone else's depending on your accessories. Removing the headlight assembly was very tricky, but with a repair manual, not too bad.
