Hi Folks,
Just came back from the dark side(Chevy)! Had 2 Ford F150 and 1 F250 previously, and 1 chevy. Just lost my mind and bought a 2012 F150 XLT 4x4 5.0 rather loaded Candy Red supercrew. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!! Got good deal on this truck. mainly use this for towing 20' center console to the chesapeake bay. Don't think this will be a problem. 55yrs old and finally got a brand new toy for Pops! So I got what I wanted!
well look forward to chating with you folks

Bill, welcome back and welcome to FTE! These trucks are simply amazing in every manner that I can think of.
In fact even after 13 months of ownership, my bride is still afraid to drive it. It's still in pristine condition with no blemishes except for inside the bed. It is a truck after all.
Hey Trucknut. Iused to live on that side also in cordova. had to move back to the crazy side of the bay, but i still work over there! I also tow my boat over there depending on where the rockfish are, and crabbing.
tseekins, these things are amazing and have changed sooo much since i last had one. the power they have now is great! Ithink i did mention how much i love my ner truck!
bigd, my new ride i like soo much i invent reasons to go out just to drive her. I like it soo much I clean it 3 times a week(for now). I like it soo much that ican drive in rush hour without wanting to kill! you get my point?
Why,YES i do like my new truck! Come to think of it I would say I LOVE my new truck! Think I will try the towing this weekend. Wont need to worry about drive through as between the truck and the boat and gas and bait.....ect...ect...ect, Iwont have any cash for the drivethrough! Juneau76 Great pic when i can figure out howto I will send pichers!

Reason: need to add
I have a feeling you are going to really, really, REALLY love that new truck of yours. I have a 2011 F-150 XLT and it is a dream to drive. Ford did some amazing things to the way it handles, you'd think you're in a car. The steering mechanisms and linkage is awesome. When I bought mine (it was used from a dealer, an Enterprise Rent-a-car vehicle that Ford bought back) I had my mechanic look it over for me. Being so new he hadn't seen one up close on his lift yet. He spent 30 minutes oohing and aaahing over this and that I thought the two of them were going to make love to it.
Once you get used to the new 6 speed tranny and the way it shifts you'll love it even more. It seems like a pig at first but trust me its not.

Same here, I firmly believe thats why mine is still in such good shape lmao! Congrads on your new purchase, seems you really like your new truck Since you love it soooo much may I suggest you read the owners manual, IIRC it is recommended you NOT tow until you have 1000 miles on the clock.
