I just ordred a toyota/f100 pitman arm from their ebay store on Friday.
The online confirmation I received from them said "Estimated delivery: July 20 - July 26, 2012".
We shall see....
Its a good thing im just gathering parts for my steering project, and not elbow deep.
I guess having to answer to a higher power (EBAY!) makes them give better service on those orders at the expense of their other customers? If they start to get negative feedback on service there, ebay will soon kick them off the site. Except for a few people like us, no one sees the complaints about service on their other sales that matters to them.
Just a slightly off topic example: I odered a software pkg from NewEgg on July 4 because it was 1/2 price one day only and I've always gotten terrific service from them in the past. Even included free shipping! Here's the problem: they send their free shipping by a service where UPS picks it up and transports it to the destination city then turns it over to the USPO for the final to the door delivery. Sound like it should work OK. I got a shipping confirmation and tracking that it was picked up on thurs 7/5, delivered to USPO here on the night of 7/6. It took the PO until Wed 7/11 to carry it 1 1/2 miles from the PO to my mail box! Delivery took twice as long as it would have had it been shipped UPS or even USPO service alone! Next time I will pay for a different shipping method unless I don't care when I get something.
A judge I worked with would tell the defendants.Fool me once same on you,Fool me twice same on me. If you had problems with CPP once, ok try again. But 4 times ? You need to take some blame for going back. You said you usually deal with Mid-Fifty.Why would you go anywhere else?
For starters, Mid-50 BUYS some of the oddball specialty stuff from CPP, as do a lot of other vendors. Of the 4 items I purchased from CPP, 3 of them are only available in the kits from the other vendors, not available separately like CPP offers. In this situation, I won't take any blame. Sorry. When you need a $50 piece, why pay $599 for the whole kit. Also, CPP sells a hose kit for $75. Mid-50 sells the same kit for $100. I don't fault Mid-50 for trying to make a few bucks, but when I can save $25, I try to. Their toy pitman arms are $59 to Mid-50s $99. CPP makes a lot of stuff no one else does so sometimes you are stuck with them.
I just bought a rear spring bushing/pin kit. Dennis C makes them, everybody sells them, same price everywhere. I bought from Antique Auto Supply in Arlington TX, because the owner physically laid his hands on the kit before saying he had them in stock, and because he charges actual shipping charges, no "handling" fees or % of purchase price. $6 via priority mail. That's what I call service.

OK... So 4 business days go by and I get an email from CCP saying they have received my order and am now processing the order. Processing takes 5-7 days and they will asvise when the item ships.
So the moral of dealing with CCP is to not expect your items for at least 2 weeks after you order them.
And I thought it was just me. Half my stuff was back ordered, waited a month, but they wasted no time raping my Mastercard. I will say they did contact me twice, once to tell me they were back-ordered and once for telling me they are shipped. If i was in a hurrey I'd probably source my part's elsewhere. This stuff wasn't shipped to me in Canada, I have a mailing adress in SD.
I finially received my part from ccp. The delivery time came within the projected delivery date.
However, the item I received has the correct part number but isnt the nice cast piece they listed in their auction. Now its not that big of a deal, and I purchased the arm at the right price, but CMON CCP, at least use the correct picture in your listings.
