Hi all!
I got 2001 EB with 135k on it. I have noticed this problem a while back but now I think it's getting worse. When driving on the freeway at 60-70 mph, going over bumps the steering wheel starts shaking and it feels something is loose. When the road is bumpy for a while, it makes it a lot worse, feels like I don't even have control of the vehicle anymore.
What could it be???
It's about time for upper and lower ball joints. These go away and you get the description above. Have your front end guy show you the joint play before replacing once up on the rack.

Thank you for your input. I was kind of thinking that might be the reason.
Do you know how much I can expect to pay for that kind of repair if I take it to the local shop? Also is there anything else I should replace at the same time since I am planning to keep this truck for a long time?
Thanks a lot
I can remember what I paid exactly but I think around 200.00 for the labor, 175.00 for the parts.
I would also look at the front shocks while there. It's time with that mileage.
