I thought when I did my gasket - if I had cut the exhaust I could have slid the pan out.
I'm not sure if I would have next got caught up on the transmission which was lifted to the max as it was.
I replaced oil pump on my old truck years ago using the cut pipe method and extreme engine jacking on a 2wd F250. Took me 10 mins to wriggle the pan out and another 10 to get it back in again. I dont think I could have done it one a 4wd truck.
