I need to pull the engine out and do a crank kit. What is the best method for a one man operation here. Pull it out the top after pulling the front clip or what?

You'll only need to remove the fan and radiator and there will just be enough room to pull it out once you disconnect it from the torque converter. I also removed the intake manifold, gives you more room and easy places to bolt on the chains front and back. Also lets you get to the top tranny bolts fairly easily. Only place you really need to people is when the engine comes out and you are about an inch away from the front coolers/condenser and the back wiper cowl. I put a double layer of cardboard taped to the condenser and it definitely saved it from some bolts that came in contact.

Thanks for the reply. Kinda what I had expected. It's going to be a pain any which way, but I need my truck running for work.

Does the hood need to come off or is there enough clearance?
