What is the best adhesive for reattaching this?

Psh, you fellers don't know nothin'. Quik-crete holds better than any glue! Apply a thin film to your tailgate with your favorite trowel and press on your trim and she's there for eternity!
All kidding aside, I have used quik-crete before and it's pretty good stuff. Used it setting 4x4 posts too, and it works great! Pressure treated and concreted in she won't go nowhere.
