If the vibration & the engine miss are related, then this won't be your problem.........but about a year ago I bought a 302 truck with a vibration at a high idle, that I thought was a harmonic balancer problem, as it had been swapped by the PO, & he wasn't sure he had the right one.
It turned out to be a worn-out fan clutch hub, that was allowing the fan to move around on/off center by about 1/8", so the vibration varied slightly, as it shifted.

Now I inspected the distributor and found the 3 wire plug coming from it was busted in pieces. Now I need to find out what wire goes where. The 3 wires from my distributor are different colored from the plug it goes to.
