Hmmm......not sure there's anything else I need from you at this time. You need to make some more mods, then maybe I have something else to get from you.....
I really like the grille and for the record, mine is studded so not the same thing.
If you want to play with 3M tape look on Aircraft Spruce search 3m Leading Edge tape. It's thicker than the auto stuff but tough as heck and the adhesive is virtually lifetime. I use it on everything I want chafe protection. Comes black or clear.
i want some amp steps but i cant bring myself to purchase them when my truck came with the stock ones, hmmm more money towards retirement or amp power steps....
To those who have them...
My biggest concern is how fast do they travel in and out? I have a brand new baby, and the only downside I could think of is when we pull up to somewhere...
I open the door
amps open
I close the door,
amps close
My wife opens the door
amps open
wife gets out
amps close
I walk around to the passenger side to get the baby
amps open
get the baby out
amps close
just seems like a ton of wear and tear. Is there anyway to delay the close? maybe 5 seconds after the door closes before they fold up?

With 4 kids, my doors have been opened & closed simultaneously who knows how many times over the year and a half I've had them on (we take my truck everywhere so they get used alot). I couldn't tell by your scenario if you were thinking both sides opened/closed simultaneously but I can confirm they don't. If you open the driver side door, only that step comes down (and likewise for the pass. side). Amp's wiring harness is nice, they made it pretty easy to hook up (as long as you don't use their connectors). I didn't take apart the control box to see if you can put a delay on it, but I imagine if you're good at circuits/electronics, something could probably be implemented. I've literally had one occurrence where they didn't come down, and it was due to ice (and lots of it). I gave 'em a swift kick and they popped out no problem. These things are the best.

Can you use/drill different mount holes for the motors/hinges? That sucks they don't fit...
So I unpacked everything from the box and put the motors on the hinges. Got everything ready to go and installed the front and rear hinges on the drivers side. I went to install the parking brake relocation bracket, then realized the rear hinge was not going to work.
I called the tech line at Amp, not the most helpful but wasn't terrible. It took him a few hours to get me an answer if I could move the rear hinge forward almost 12". Finally he called me back and said that should work and it wouldn't void any warranty. That's great, now to figure out how to move the hinges forward. I had to remove quite a bit of metal to have enough flat area to mount the hinges. There wasn't much room to get the drill in there and the top holes were a bittch.
Where the hinges are used to be metal support structure.
After getting the rear hinges moved forward, the rest was fairly straight forward. Everything went together nicely and there was plenty of wiring. What should have taken an hour or 2, ended up taking just over 4 hours, not counting the time spent waiting for an answer.
