Stock external trans cooler
I have a 97 350 with the 460 it has a small external trans cooler I thought I read the 96 and 97 hd trucks came withthese external coolers. Does it do much good or is it still worth upgrading?

The cooler is marginal at best, and is really no good if you do heavy towing often. The 4R100 (nearly the same transmission) Super Duty trucks went to a cooler 2x the size, and the later 5 speed TorqShift trucks went to a cooler 3x the size of that.
