Opinions on Striker I power module #64065

I have A 2001 F-350 SUPER CAB with the 7.3L and I was offered a used Striker I power module #64065. I rarely use my truck with only 64k miles, but always wanted some extra power when needed. I'm looking for other owners who have used this unit and their opinions good or bad? it comes with the manuel and he want's $70.00, so I'm wondering if that is a good deal? I've searched the internet but didn't find a lot of blogs, just the manufactures write up. I appreciate any help. Thanks, Brewskisteve.

I would waste my time on it. It looks like a fancy 10k mod

I recall seeing those on the 'net when I was researching a chip/tune for my truck. Never used one myself, hopefully someone with real world experience will chime in. IIRC it is essentially a glorified 10K mod, which fools the PCM into using more fuel (thus more power) but alters no other parameters. There are much more sophisticated tunes available (DP Tuner, PHP, Wildman etc,) that alter many engine and transmission parameters, resulting in more and safer power. But for a bump in power you can feel for minimal expense, that might be fine.

For that price I'd pick it up just for the HPO pressure gauge.

got some sort of 10k mod the po put into my truck... imo... dont waste the money... save it for a dp f5.

that switch in my truck terrifies me...
my egt's climb like a spider monkey with it flipped...

pass on it man... not worth a breakdown over minute testosterhol increase... will get so much more out of a real tune from jody with shift strategies and careful engine tuning...

just a couple pennies from a slowly learning fool...

For $80.00 DP Tuner will put a single performance flash on your PCM
and there are many, many to choose from. Check it out at this Link.
