I saw a engine at the junkyard yesterday, and it had adjustable rocker arms and pushrods that I need for my build. The block extended below the centerline of the crank, but the distributor looked like it came out of the top of the block, in the front, at an angle. I wasnt sure if this was an FE or an old Y-block. I didn't get time to look for the 352 on the front of it. Any ideas?
Thats probably what it was. I didnt get too long to look at it, it was just sitting on the ground with a valve cover off, and I noticed the adjustable rocker arms and cup end pushrods and thought "I can use those!" until I saw the distributor. But I had an air conditioner I was working on, so off I went up the hill. Next time I'm up there I'll definately take a closer look.
Upon further inspection, it was a y-block. I saw some pics of them that lobo2 posted in his gallery, and this thing looks exactly like it. I know there are at least 3 of 'em at the yard. Wonder if they're good for anything?
