I'm going to nights again next week...but figures it would cool down the week I'm not on days. Oh well, if I have to wear a jacket to ride home on the scooter in the mornings I'll wear it with pride!
Dang that sounds good. At this point i would love to need a jacket anywhere.
It was 107 this afternoon when the A/C in the truck decided to quit. This evenings project is tightening up the air gap on the compressor clutch and topping off the freon.

That stinks! I learned a valuable lesson a couple of weeks ago when the first couple of days of 100 highs were blessed upon us. Black leather seats (motorcycle) and high ambient temperatures are a bad combination. Let's just say blue jeans will conduct heat with minimum heat energy loss.
There is rolling thunder and a few very light sprinkles as I type this.... and it's only 80 degrees!!! Now to figure out how to get this cloud to sit here all day.
Air gap adjustment went easily. A/C compressor clutch locks up normally and the air is cold once again. It's been since last summer that the thing would blow cold at idle.... works like a champ now! Yay me!
Ran over to Harry's (F250W6.0) to help figure out if he's got injector troubles...couldn't find anything with the AE BTW. While the boy and I were there the eastern skies filled with dark clouds. On the way home we watched a couple of cloud-to-ground lighting strikes. Finally after what seemed like two hours we started to get thunder and wind at the house. Then it finally rained...lasted about 10 minutes. But, the skies are still dark....so maybe we'll get some more rain. Got the fingers crossed, and since there's a 50/50 chance the next couple of days, maybe we can at least knock these burn bans out.

Finally, done working nights for a couple of weeks. Anyone else get any of that widely scattered rain last night? There was a large cloud-ed with lots of lighting across the border from us last night. Watched it for at least an hour while the poor conductor sweated wither he was going to get soaked for the third time this week

I could have started talking about Piezo injectors or dual/twin stage turbochargers.
We have gotten rain three days in a row. I saw rainbows the last two evenings while on my way to work. One was a complete arch and both were double! I didn't have a camera but there were a lot of people pulled off the road taking photos.
