mild and rainy day, but it cleared up for the BBQ and local fireworks. The food was great and a good time was had by all .
.. and some it was tooooo good. Today I expect to hear from a select few the statement "OH damnit why did I do that"
but not by me.... I am a non-drinker !!! Dave
Joe, Thanks for the video ... one of my favorites and the right one for the 4TH
Happy Thursday!

I hope everyone had a funfilled & safe 4th of July!

We went to a friends for a BBQ & to watch the fireworks. Well, the BBQ & visiting w/ friends was awesome!
As for the fireworks... we really couldn't see them from their house. There were a few of the really high ones the we could see, but the rest had a mountain in the way!
GRR! Oh well, maybe next year!
Rise & Shine!
WOOHOO...It's Friday! Let's get this party started!

It's gonna be around 93 degrees in the Reno/Sparks area today & even hotter in some areas of the State. Remember to drink plenty of water & use sunscreen if your going anywhere.
Today I have to go through some more stuff in my shed again. What a dusty mess! This wind just coats everything w/ a thin layer of dirt/dust. YUCK! On the plus side, yesterday I came across my old hand-me-down stereo from my sister (sentimental value
) Damn, it's missing the on/off/volume ***!
It probably fell off when I moved - hopefully it's in a box somewhere. It's a Hitachi AM/FM 8 track stereo and next to it was a bag of about six 8 tracks! Nazareth, Air Supply, Neil Diamond, The Cars, Country, & a homemade one. Aaawww...the memories!
Now to see it it sill works! I brought it inside, cleaned it up & turned it on (had to use needle nose to pull the control)...well, the light on the dial & radio still works! - although the volume control is touchy/staticy causing the speakers to go in/out. I think the dial marker thingy is off by a station or two, but the speakers kicked *** once I got the volume control to work w/out static! The Phono & Tape (don't know about the Phono part - never had a record player for it) aren't working.
Bummer! I really wanted to listen to those 8 tracks too. It used to work awesome back in the 80's & 90's. Hmm, maybe it needs a internal cleaning too?!
I just wanted to share the memories.
I wonder what else I'll come across that I've forgotten about? If I find something interesting, I'll let you know. I hope you have a totally Radical Friday Dudes & Dudettes!
Happy Friday Nevada FTE! TGIF, going to a hot one, be safe, and careful in the heat.
Jim
Well we're in for our 4th straight 100° day today...oh joy...it'll be our ALL-TIME record in Fort Wayne!!!
The good news is that we'll be back to "normal" tomorrow with mid-80's...is it sick that sounds good to me?...
Have a great Saturday everyone!
Joe.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I hope you have a Super Saturday!

It's gonna be another hot one today - 98* is what they were saying on the news yesterday. It's supposed to be 100* on Monday!
Granted I like the heat, but it doesn't like me as I'm getting older. Kinda like the cold, my old body can't take it like it used too in my teen years & my bones & joints feel it!
Maybe I shouldn't have abused my body so much. LOL!
Sucks getting older!!! Jim - I've had the 8 track stereo since 1983 that I can remember & who knows how long my sister had it before she handed it down to me.
I still have her "hand me down" super single waterbed too! I know that works, because I've used it for years.
But out with the split axle and in with the solid Dana 60
Hopefully coming soon
Well, good morning everyone, and good night. Time for bed
Happy Sunday!...even if I have to fly again...
But the good news...I get home on Thursday and we leave on Friday for our near 3 week RV trip through some more of our beautiful country...after this trip our 13 and 15 yr old girls will have been in 40 states!!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and a great week ahead...
Oh yeah...the triple digits have FINALLY broken in Indiana...we'll "only" be in the upper 80's today!
Joe.
