What are the cam specs for your 280H, and how much did it cost. Sorry to hear about the speeding tickets, I just got one last week for doin 52 in a 30. My first one. . Wait til I soup the old girl up a little, though. What's your top speed, and what would you estimate your 0-60 to be at? Appreciate the advice.
I haven't gotten any tickets in that truck , I get all mine in a 2000 Freightliner LOL. My kid drives the truck the 400's in. He hasn't gotten any either ( knock on wood) Pretty good for a 17 year old, huh? I haven't any idea of the top speed, the speedo only goes to 85 , if I remember right. It will top that easily. I've never timed the zero to 60, so I couldn't tell you. I did once however have a guy in a new Dodge "hemi" pickup that thought he could beat me off a redlite--- he didn't, and he didn't try a second time, I guess once from a ragged out 77 F100 was enough. That 400 sounds sweet sitting and idling at a redlite, even got a compliment from a local cop one day while he was directing traffic. The cam specs on the 280H are .521 lift ( using the 1.7 ratio big Chevy rockers) .530 with the stock 1.73 rocker ratio. Duration is 280 degrees ( 230 @.050 lift) LSA is 100 degrees.
Isnt it fun to embarrass all the dodge and chevy guys (and the punks in rice burners) who want to try you off the red light? Im running the edelbrock performer 400 pkg with 9.7:1 pistons and a 600 holley and so far the only thing that has beat me 0-60 (I expected it to) was an f-150 lightning.
David10--------- I'm running the stock Duraspark on the 400. Stock distridutor.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------cartwright, just my opinion, but you really need a bigger carb on your 400. That motor would be a lot happier with a 750.
