i have an 86 6.9----one of the metal fuel lines going from the i.p to the injector broke.Right next to the injector pump...just broke for no apparent reason while i was driving.....a local place said they could order a new one for 60 somthing bucks and it a reputable place but was just hoping to get one for alot cheaper than that.I need this truck so i might just do it but if anyone knows of a better way/place please let me know.--thanks.----thought about brake lines and just making the bend myself but the ends are formed on the diesel line and it is made of much thicker metal as well so that is not an option.

 

You might give these guys a call Midwest Fuel Injection :: Metro Fuel Injection :: Pacific Fuel Injection . The used to have the lines listed on a web site. Also give Ebay a check, there were some listed the other day.

usually when these break, its a result of the metal brackets missing. the brackets prevent the vibrations that break them

 

What # cyl is the line for? I have a new one for the # 1 cyl.

 

If you can find a salvage yard with the IDI you can probably get the whole set for less than $60
