Considering the Ford F series has been number one as long as some people have been alive (35 years, started with the 77 models). Chevy + GMC do not equal Fords share, once you factor in the heavier (RV) towing market, it's even more Ford, with Dodge running second.
I don't know what will happen now that Ford has decided to cease production of the E series.
They're stopping production of the E-series?
What are they keeping as an alternative? More of the 4-door stupid-duties?
I don't even like the E-series, but it seems like they'd really be losing out by cutting it out of their lineup. I see new ones around here occasionally.

They are to be replaced by the European Ford Transit van.... (not the little useless transit connect, a fullsize Transit.
They dropped the Crown Vic, too, despite protests from the various police departments across the country. Replaced with a Taurus.
The Crown Victorias were really nice cars. My mother had one. Plenty of go-juice when needed and pretty good mileage too. The interiors were nice.
Personally, I think it's bad that they're dropping the Crown Victoria as the main police car because of how many departments use it and the amount of stuff that has been adapted to it, but on the other hand, it will be good to get an update.
I imagine a Taurus with a twin-turbo V6 and 365 horses won't be a bad police car.
I think the Transits are ugly.
Back on topic though...
I've always said Chevy's were like rocks. They sink right to the bottom.
I also say all the time that Chevrolet's are also like rocks in that the only things they're good for are throwing away.

Let the Chevy jokes ensue!
You beat me to it. That's what I've always said too.
A guy at work a couple years ago asked if I'd seen the new Chevy trucks (he was bragging about them ). I said " Oh, Chevy is finally going to make a truck?" He was not happy with me.
Did you hear Chevy is going to have heated tailgates as standard equipment?
It's to keep your hands warm when pushing it.
I personally am offended by this. We shouldn't be making fun of vehicularly-challenged people. It's not their fault they're Chevy drivers....they simply don't know any better....
