Neutral safety switch?

Finally got a random day off and decided to do a little needed tlc on my truck. 2000 f250 cc 4x4 with 200k miles auto.

A little over a moth ago I had a jasper tranny installed by a shop. Since that time I have had issues with my truck not starting... The ignition has been replaced, we thought t could have been that because the cylinder was a little worn out. It would start in neutral but not park. Sometimes it would act normal and start right up other times it would t do a thing!
The new cylinder didn't do anything but waste 225$ of my money.
Another related issue is my back up lights, they worked fine before the trans install now they don't work at all, which leads me to believe there is something in my truck that is not recognizing what gear I'm in..

Is there a plug in on the trans that maybe didn't get plugged in???

Sorry for the book but any help ASAP would e great I don't get many days to work on my truck...

The DTR (digital trans range) sensor probably needs adjusting. You can loosen the two bolts and turn it slightly. Tighten to 7 ft-lbs.

There is two line up marks on it. One on the body and one on the white center around the shaft. Loosing the two bolts and line up the marks.

Did you check the bolts on the shift cable under the dash? I know that will cause the no start in park issue and also not being able to get into 1st gear, not sure about the reverse lights though.
I suffered through shifting into neutral to start my truck for a year before I saw someone on the forums post about the two bolts under the dash. One was so loose I am surprised it hadn't fallen out yet.
