What are you talking about? ALL distributors can be turned 180° Your just confusing the man with statement like this...

i keep forgetting to say:

you should put the timing chain gear marks

the way it shows in those pictures.

then something else came back to me.

when you drop in the distributor:

1 it doesn't matter really what distributor tooth you engage

with the camshaft drive gear.

just drop it in with adjustment travel in the middle.

rotor facing #1 plug, that's why the distributor has

the holdown clamp and has adjustment range.

2 when you drop it in, the bottom of distributor will

probably be standing on top of oil pump shaft.

put a finger on top of distributor and turn engine

just a little with remote starter and it will drop in and

engage with oil pump.
