fender question

Dumb question #17 for today. Is there any kind of gasket material that goes between the upper fender and the lower extension?
I'm getting closer and closer to my last coat of primer before I throw color at the truck. Right now I have the front end loosely bolted together just to help with sanding. I will take it back apart before I do the color.
I have decided that any estimate a body shop gives you for a 'decent' paint job is too small. I had it finally down to just a few little dents and dings, but it's a truck so they were okay. Then I bought the color, $981.43. Now those little dents are no longer allowed. I will burn my sanding block as a sacrifice when I'm finally done with it!

There was a cloth-like material between my uppers and lowers.
I know the feeling about burning the sanding block! My truck was/is a '49 F3

Thanks. I couldn't remember that one. I have plenty of gasket material so I'll just pick out something that looks right.
