I have an 04 expy with the 4.6. I recently went on a trip (about a 1000 miles round trip) I put new plugs, changed oil, etc. It ran well but on hills, it shifted down almost as soon as I got to the hill. I know in addition to some bolt on stuff like MAF and TB's, the truck can be tuned. Just trying to put some feelers out there on some good tuners mainly for tranny shift points. Thanks for your input.
Edge gets my vote. Have the Evolution CS in my 2000, and what a difference. I can chirp all 4 tires from a dead stop now, mileage went up to 14 city and 21 hwy and I can monitor everything I need to know about the truck. It is also customizable to make a custom tune. cost was under 400 with the dash pod.
I don't know about the others but I know on a SCT SF3 unit you can adjust both the shift points by rpm yourself as well as transmission shifting firmness.
