Did any thing happen before this and have you check for codes?
If it is the same setup as the 06 the cable leads to the PCM.
I would have a look at the wires leading from the accelerator
to the PCM for any damage and even go as fas as to un-plug
and check the contacts for corrosion.
The best thing would be to have a shop type scanner where
you can look at live data while wiggling things

I know that you are in a spot.
Same symptom as I had when I first lost a fuel injector due to low fuel pressure. Loss of power, bad bucking and jerking in OD when the torque converter was locked, eventual stall and when it would start (after waiting 30 min to one hour) it would not take accelerator pedal.
