HELP PLEASE!!!

So we're on our road trip right now, please read thread/last posts. Here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...road-trip.html

Heading on our trip this morning battery died ( on our X). Switched it out with my dads Optima Res Topdrom his F-250. Things were going great at Barstow the check engine light came on..no real problems but dad started to watch it. Then stopped at Baker for bathroom brake, no problems started right up.

About 20 minutes later while headin down into the valley towards Primm all power went out. Nothing on the dash, no reading, double din gps went out...no brakes. Dad was able to keep in control and coast to a stop. Writing his from 8.4 miles outside of Primm on Ca side waiting for AAA to at least bring a battery, but what else could this be? We are gonna try an make it to Behas once back up and running but need to diagnose this. This is our first day out a 8 day long trip.

Thanks for any help FYE family.

Someone should take a voltage reading on the battery while the engine is running. If you can make it to a car parts place, a lot of them have a machine they will stick on it for free to see if it's charging.
