Electrical problems
There are several electrical issues there are happening:
1) the reading from the digital gas gauge is incorrect. The readout will display "80 miles until empty" when the gas tank is actually empty. This issue has been occurring for quite a while.
2) the odometer loses power. This problem comes and goes
3) more recently, the radio loses power. This problem also comes and goes
4) the analog gas gauge on the dashboard goes thru periods where it is not active. It is probably losing power like the rest of the items are.
5) The power door locks (primarily the drivers door) sometimes does not have enough juice to unlock the door. I typically use the keypad on the drivers door unlock/lock all the doors, half of the time other doors will unlock but the drivers door will not.
The vehicle is a 2000 Ford expedition with 150,000 miles.
I am assuming the symptoms are the result of more than one problem. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. One additional request, if a part(s) is needed, please be specific as to what part I need to look for and a suggestion as to the best place online to find it.
