I installed a c6 in my 65 F100 along with a floor shifter. Now I have a steering column that I need to change for a four speed one.
Will only the 65-66 columns work or are there other years I can look for?

You don't need to change the entire column. All you need is the steering column extension (takes the place of the shift collar) used on cars with an A/T or M/T floor shift, trucks w/a 4 M/T.
C3DZ-3790-A .. Steering Column Extension / Obsolete ~ No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
Any 1965/79 column other than 1965/66's without P/S, will have to be modified to fit your truck. Why go thru all the labor, pain and suffering, cussin' a blue streak, when you only need this extension?
Over 1,600,000 1965/66 Mustangs came with this extension as none had a column shift.
Give Bo a call at Mustang Service Center (818-765-9266) in North Hollywood CA, ask if he has one. All you need is the part number, cuz Bo is an ex-Ford partsman.
If you ask him what 'barasoaps' is, he'll know that I suggested you call.

I finally got to call Bo today but he didn't have one. He laughed and and asked if it was you when I quizzed him about barasoaps.
Nice guy, I'll do future business with him.
Thanks for the contact.

Many moons ago, when Bo was a parts driver, he delivered head/valve cover gaskets to a garage. When he came back, he said to me that garage needed barasoaps. What the hell?
Bo was fresh off the boat from Thailand, mangled the English language (today, 37 years later, he still does!). I called, garage wanted valve seals!
^lol!
Found a four speed '66 column on E-Bay for $50 and ordered that hoping it wasn't stripped down.
What I got was the entire column complete with both sides of the rag joint flanges all the way and including the steering wheel and decent horn button and the wires were disconnected at the clips rather than clipped. It's even the right color.
Pretty impressive for a wrecking yard.
