Transfer case fill plug location?

Transfer case fill plug location?
Where is the location of the fill plug for a 93 Ranger transfer case? The damper is off and I see the drain plug. Is the fill plug behind the electric motor that shifts the case? I can see what may be a plug there that looks plastic with a very small hex head in the center of it. Is that it?
Also, my Haynes manual says to use Mercon ATF in the transfer case. I see where Valvoline has a Mercon equivalent. What ATF brand do people here recommend?

Both the drain & fill plugs are on the aft end of the transfer case. The plugs look identical, but the drain is lower than the fill (naturally).
"Mercon V" is the latest & greatest version of Mercon ATF. I'm not sure that you can even buy straight Mercon anymore. Any good quality brand should be OK, but you can't go wrong with Motorcraft. Personally, I use Mobil synthetic.

Aha! I see them both now, thanks. For some reason I thought the fill was the drain and I was looking for something above it. I see that the drain is over near the drive shaft. THANKS
Since I have my transfer case off while I replace my clutch, I was just going to drain it and fill it while it is off. I guess the Mercon V is suitable?
