Hey NumberDummy

If you see this, i have a question on a carb
rebuild kit for my 78 F 100 300ci. Looking
at a motorcraft CT842A, which I think I saw
a while ago you said fit the carb.

If you see this, would appreciate any info.
Can't seem to get a PM off to you.

Thanks

You would have to send him a visitor message because you don't have 25 posts.

Impossible, I turned the fracatta feature off. Only so many characters can be typed and when people want detailed info, it's impossible to give it to them.

There are three possible carb kits for 1978 F100's w/the 300 I-6. If I knew the carb ID tag number, that would be just ducky.

But since the OP didn't post it, I need to know if the truck was sold was new in CA (DSO codes 71 or 72), or is a high altitude carb (5,000 ft plus) or not.

Thanks for the reply. The truck is not a Ca vehicle. The tag on the
carb is: D5TE AGB then under that is: F8E26.

thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
