I have a miss as well, I'm thinking my problem is a bad injector. It misses at idle and up to about 2000 rpm then you can hear and feel it start firing.
my truck has idled fine kinda has a little skip every now and then since the 17* hpop though. but thanks for all the help guys i hope someone here has the magical answer lol
Do u have access to a scanner? I would drive it and watch throttle pedal pid and see if it goes wacky causing the problem.does it smoke when it acts "goofy"?

i have on to pull codes i cant do any thing that fancy. however i did replace the tps on the accelerator pedal. and it does seem to puff more black smoke.
I am pretty sure i have this exact same problem, mine is really bad when i tow, shakes the whole pickup then the check engine light comes on and then sometimes it will just die, when i take off unloaded it sounds just like i injector is trying to fire but won't. I hope we can get it fixed.
We're kind of slow here in the shop, so I'm gonna say it's probably injectors.
Seriously, if it's a higher mileage truck and you are not sure of the history of the injectors, it's never a bad idea to have them addressed. They will need to be at least Overhauled at some point, it's only a matter of when. It takes care of a lot of issues and knowing they are good usually eliminates them from the equation. I can't say for sure it's your specific issue, even your miss could be in the wiring. But to help nail that down, swap that missing injector with another and see if the problem follows or stays with that cylinder.
We are seeing a lot more bad solenoids as these things age. A bad solenoid does some weird things, too, and it would only take a minute and 4 screws to swap one and see what happens.

Jim i have been seriously considering sending my injectors your way for stage 2's. Just would be a major downer if i get them in there and she still misses. That being said can an injector come and go my problem has no rhyme or reason just comes and goes only happens under 2,000 rpms under a load. I get no codes with this issue and i have replace the ucvh and pigtails.

could my problem be related to not having a fpr screen for i dont know how long lol. went to clean it and it was gone. but i have one now. could something past that be clogged.
I read it twice but I did not see if you had tried to unplug the EBPV. I know that before I unplugged mine and blocked it open it would be fine one day and the truck would run great and sometimes it would close when it shouldn't and the truck would chug when accelerating until I reached above 2000rpm. it is a simple check if nothing else
