That is absolutely brilliant work pulling the frame out of the bonnet. I have a couple that I was hoping to make into one. I was trying to work out how I would repair the rust properly.
They are very hard to find in this part of the world, except for the chinese junk that doesnt even have the right shape to fit!

Made some progress on the hood. I also started a new thread in the engine conversions section.

After sand blasting the front of the inner hood support looked like swiss cheese so i made some patches and welded them in.
I dressed the welds some, but it doesn't really matter cause they will never be seen. Re primed the outer hood and inner support.
Set the two pieces back together and then welded where i drilled out the spot welds.
Still need to do the body work on it and paint it.
