According to the VIN it is supposed to be a 300 ci with a 3 on the tree.
No VIN of any Ford vehicle has the trans info within it
The 4th digit of the VIN is the engine code. 1966: A = 240 I-6 / B = 300 I-6 / Y = 352 2V.
The TRANS code is stamped on the Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch.
A = New Process 435 4 speed M/T / B = Warner T-85N 3 speed O/D '3 on the tree' / C = Ford type 3.03 3 speed M/T '3 on the tree' / F = Warner T-18 4 speed M/T / G = A/T, three different types depending on engine size.
Valve cover bolts per side: 352/360/390 and etc = FIVE / 221/260/289/302/351W = SIX / 429/460 = SEVEN / 351C/351M/400 = EIGHT.
it has the warentie plat still on the door, and we had an online key for the vin and all the clus on it point to inline 6 because the 4 digit is b, and it had the gear with the lighning bolt on the floor in the cab and the emblum on the hood, and it has 6 bolts on the calve cover and had a 4 barrel carb with an aluminum intake manifold
