I too have the I-Con springs which is D/R like Tylus stated and yes there is a huge difference in the ride, I had a Fabtech set on first and switched out with I-Con front springs and it made a big difference.
Also filled my spare tire under the bed with 400 lbs of concrete and hung back up under bed to soften the back out. Rides like the wifes Tahoe now............
You have to have soft shocks to pull it off, I run the 9000 Rancho's and have them all on setting #1

Hmmm thanks guys I think ill looking into the Icons just need to find someone in the houston area to install it...i dunno if i can jsut replace the shocks from procomp to Icon or if there more to it?

I have all springs front and rear. I installed mine 7 years ago and it is a Donahoe Racing with DEAVER spring packs. 12 leaf front pack 10 leaf rear pack....no spacer just straight leaf pack in the back (which I like). My kit came with an adjustable panrod bar. The total kit took me and my pops LOTS of hours to install.....HEAVY components on the F250 compared to my S-10!
Bilstein is the way to go for shock advice, as they valve specificically for certain trucks and driving styles. REMEMBER....if you are going to run multiple shock setups (hoops) the shocks need to be valved more mild for multiple setup if not your truck will ride like a covered wagon.
I am not sure how your 4 wheel parts is where you live but that place is a JOKE! They are a popularity retail store now, not a 4x4 customer friendly store. I recall the days when they fabricated and were a real chain....now I wouldn't set foot in there for anything....JMO
Gather all your proof here from the guys that run the stuff everyday and go from there...

ya thats exactly how the 4wheel parts store is here...thats why im trying to figure out if i can just order shocks and they will hook up to the existing hardware in the truck...like is it as simple as replacing a procomp shock with a different one? I asked 4wheel parts and they watned to charge me 2k hhahaah agh.

Unless you are switching to heim joints (even then) they will mount exactly as the old ones. Your main concern is the length (compressed and extended). You want to make sure they are the CORRECT length for your lift/application ie: your truck is lifted 4" over stock, you will need a shock that is 4" taller than the stock shock etc etc
Any place that is worth a $h*t should help you with your questions and needs.
I have a 2004 all leaf spring. I am not sure how the coil front end shocks mount, but like I was saying, for that particular year....ALL shocks mount the same.

i have the Icon 4.5 kit too. It's been on the truck for about 6 years now. It started smooth and still is smooth as can be. Just about any 4x4 shop can swap springs and shocks for you. you are probably looking at an hour of labor per spring and shock. I installed my lift kit in the driveway, it is fairly easy to do.

They will ship them to your front door,I forget what they cost exactly but they were around $275.00 plus $80.00 shipping, they weigh around 75-80 lbs.
Very easy to install, I used 2 floor jacks one on each side. Take off top shock nuts and jack it up till springs come free from top rubber mount and just lift old out place new in spin to right clocking for the rubber mounts and let jack down and thats it. Reconnect shocks and you are done!
Gotta thank Tylus for the advice on the springs they ride really nice, a soft shock is a must as well.

If you can handle the price tag, Kelderman air ride is the way to go. No springs at all just an air bag and 4-link set up on all the corners. Can't beat the ride quality with anything I've seen. My dually has an 8" kit and runs 37's. Good luck with your search.
