Engine wont start
I have a 2006 F450 6.0 diesel. I replaced fuel pump because it was not working. Engine fuel pump bowl fills but i will not run. If i can get it started it will idle and but will not rev if i put foot on pedal. When i do get it runing past idle it will smoke a bit. Please help

not a mechanic but i just helped a buddy with a dodge.we did new fuel pump in his truck(in gas tank)he had some running issues also.turns out there was air in the fuel lines.this was a gas moter not a disel.wish i had more info for ya.
