Yep. Thanks. Don't know if I need 1. I'm not getting a cell but I'm being told by my new tuner that I will need one.

Our trucks don't really take overboost into account. It doesn't hurt to have one though.
You'd have to be running a monster turbo for you to need a boost fooler.

So, unless your prepaired to make 50+ lbs of boost, I'd forget it.

The OBS truck's start defueling at 24 PSI of boost. Some trucks don't throw a CEL when they start defueling.

If you are running the stock turbo a boost fooler isn't necessary, but won't hurt. I can hit about 25-26 PSI with my current setup and stock turbo.

Thank you strange person who doesn't usually post here.

Some trucks do defuel and some don't. It seems the majority of them don't, but it is common on the OBS Powerstroke's.

First post on this page is Jake with TDP. He said it is visible when live tuning.

Defueling OBS - Page 2 - PowerStrokeNation : Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

Here is a couple pretty good videos showing one defueling at around 25 PSI.

Obs de-fueling - YouTube
Obs 2 - YouTube
Obs 3 - YouTube

Tyrant Diesel (Cale) says an OBS Powerstroke needs a boost fooler for any boost numbers over 36 PSI.

Custom tuning

What does my post count have to do with anything?

Cale is a good tuner.

As for your post count, I didn't refer to that. I was referring to you not posting here much.

I've seen guys claim you need boost foolers just to sell them.
And I've also seen people rip off other peoples designs and then push them telling customers they need them if they run custom tunes.

The way his boost is dropping in the video's I doubt has anything to do with de-fueling.

Bottom line is, This product is really only necessary if your trying to make big power.

Without head studs, rods and springs, making more than 40 lbs of boost is a dumb idea.

You completely skipped over the post where Jake with TDP says he sees it when live tuning.

In the tuning link you posted.

I dont know anyone having a de-fueling issue with out a boost fooler in an OBS. Only in SD's.

Jody says some do, some do not.

So I suggest only buying one if your having defueling issues.
