I have a '97 Expedition w/a Mach System. Recently, as I was driving the music stopped coming out of the speakers. A humming sound began at the rear where the subwoofer is. I plugged the headphones in and the radio,cd, & tape player are still working - but, the music is not coming through the main speakers. Would anyone know what may be the cause of this problem.
This could be alot of things really, but it sounds to me like a ground wire not grounded. I really don't know where to tell you to look. I would start by disconnecting the battery, then reconnect it after about 30 sec. If that didn't work, then I would unplug the amp, and see if the rest of the speakers work, and then try to narrow down your options.
Hello mjaq98,
Have found what is causing the no sound for your expedition? I have a 97 epedy and it has the same problem and I have tried radio and rear console replacement and still no sound. Email me if you have answers. wseelaljrNo Email Addresses In Posts! thanks
