Transmission Problem

I have a 2004 F250 6.0L. Have problem getting transmission out of park when I press the brake. Have to push pedal as far to the floor as possible and maybe it will come out of park. Any suggestions as to the problem?

It isn't a transmission problem. It is either the brake light switch or the solenoid in the steering column that locks the shifter.
