yes, wagon wheels are still here. I'm prolly gonna get them blasted and paint them to put some radials on for long trips.
None of the body parts were worth saving. Cab was so rusted out, I bet it would have fallen apart if removed from chassis. Fenders were rusted out pretty bad. I was going to keep the core support and alum grill surround, but didn't have time. Grill was all dented up anway. Kept both bumpers which were perfect, kept the seat, it had new rear shock brackets so we kept them, kept the back glass, all the front suspension and rear driveshaft.
Huh, another case of pictures being deciving I guess, it really didn't look that bad... Don't happen to have a pic of that newer model bed in place on that truck for kicks and giggles do ya? Sound's like you got some good parts still!
I wish I would have gotten a pic with it on. My friend pulled it before I got to take one. I will be taking one of his truck when he gets it on though,, it actually fits the truck very well.
That's what I was wondering, I had a chance to buy a newer model stepside when i was just planin to get my truck street legal and drive it... but i passed, because i didn't know how it would fit...
Is it a dentside to?
his truck that it's going on? Yes it is. (in my first pic of the 250 you can see the blue jacked up shortbed right behind it,, that's the truck it's going on.) You don't even have to make any brackets to put the bed on. I think a few of the holes had to be moved about an inch, but nothing major.
That's a good lookin truck too, why's he doin away with the bed that's on it though, it don't look bad (from what i can see)?
Really, that's good news for future reference!
