That was the plan right before the hump hose. Hope it does not cause issues.

Thought I was all done and totally spaced on welding in the vent tube for the MAP line. Going to do that tomorrow night since I cant drive it anyways untill the box from Clay shows with that one additional boot I need and the new turbo intake boot...

So this is it for tonight.. The welding took maybe 10 minutes and the cleanup and paint maybe an hour or so... Fitment was the most time consuming part.

Almost there I just want to get it on the road again and will wait till winter for a Terminator and 1.5 sticks...

Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can get the water/meth injection on there.

Thanks...

Looking forward to getting my third boot in tonight so I can finish it up and drive it to work tomorrow. I wish I had a second boost gauge just to see what the PSI drop is from the turbo to y pipe. Heard its about 2 pounds or so but I'm guessing it will be a bit more with the larger plenums.

Now to start finishing up the water injection parts list

Ill take a picture this evening of it all finished up. I just need to tack in the map line and weld the Filter intake tube shut to get rid of the CCV. Already rerouted it to a catch can.

Well additional complications arose and I posted them over here....

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post12050231

I will get the final pictures posted up tonight....

On another note for some reason my EGT guage is not working at all... So I get to figure out what happened there.... I can only guess it was due to wiring the leads off the gauges together for power(not the thermocouple leads) or some how I have the thermocouple leads flip flopped...dang thing worked just fine before I started and that was one of my main priorities I had (see how my EGTs dropped) I still have to drill the manifold for the second one, but its wired.

Well from another thread I started regarding boost number on a stock tune, I was informed to move my map sensor line to the hot side. was told to trymoving it to the turbo side (hot). Turns out this did make a difference and I understand why (Or my theory tells me so). Our computer thinks (has been programmed) for a reading directly off boost directly feeding into the plenums. There was not a consideration for IC's, but by putting the map sensor line on the cold side you are going to read a pressure 1-3 psi lower than the hot side reading. Now your motor is seeing this pressure however the air is cooler/denser therefore requiring or having the capability to accept more fuel.

Having your map read from the hot side your computer sees 1-3 psi higher than your motor is actually seeing, however it is properly fueling for this volume or flow rate of air since you are gaining density but loosing pressure from the turbo to the head... I guess I look at it as a trick to gain a bit more fuel and actually saw a boost gain of about 2 psi. My gauge is at the Y and could consistently hit 15psi on stock tunes. Once I moved my Map I could hit 17psi on stock tunes. Once again this is reading on the cold side. If you were reading on the hot side it would be right around 20 for me pre cooler. Hopefully when I get my chip and stage 1.5's ironed out 30 psi will be an option post cooler.

Anyways I wanted to add that little tidbit of info. And if anyone disagrees I would like to hear your reasoning behind it. I do not think I'm always right but this seemed ligical to me

I will get some final pictures up tonight of it all installed and put together. Trying to find out a good place for the water injection nozzle...

When I had my stageI's and my boost gauge hooked in the cold side I could hit 35psi

Thanks guys I just wanted to rap this thread up with complete pics. I search so many times for stuff and you find a thread with exactly what you were looking for except the end result. So hopefully this might help someone out down the road if they are interested in doing the same thing... I know most just go to a different turbo at this point but I'm happy with this one

My transmission swap thread did the same thing. Not sure on the reason.

I hadn't seen those pictures. Sweet looking trucks you got there

Yeah somehow I missed the photos too. Nice looking trucks you have there. Who makes the bumper on the CCSB? I haven't seen one like that before that I can recall. I like it!
