Has anyone experienced a short grinding noise when they startup after their truck sits for a day or two? It sounds almost like when people try to start a car that's already idling. It lasts less than a second, but it wouldn't take long for that to add up to some major wear-and-tear. I don't want to get stranded - that's one of the major reasons for driving a Ford to begin with.
that means it's time to change the oil and make sure you put the right grade in. All newer ford engines do that after a while, but the oil change helps (if it's the valve rattling sound).
With only 1200 miles on it ,take it in ,you may have a starter problem in the bendx spring area being alittle dry.
better to have the paper trail on it when it quits out of warranty on ya!
Guys get into the habit of turning all ac /heater
switches to off.saves wear and tear on components for the future.
