Engine ID

I am new to Building Fords. I started with Camaros, then on to Jeeps, and now a 65 Ford Pickup. How do you identify Ford engines?

Welcome to FTE! V8 or 6? If V8 likely a 352. Post the numbers found on the intake and between the spark plugs on the head. After that look in the various engine forums for much more info.

Thank you. I will try to look on lunch. The guy I bought it from says the motor is actually from a 70's model. I know it is a V-8, 4-spd, with a 9" rear.

Welcome to the group as well! Another trick is to give us the count of bolts securing the valve covers.... There are a few others ideas in mind to assist us along, just keep trying, we'll get it!

Definately not a chevy. I originally actually bought it to use the 9" and the motor for a Jeep I am building but once I looked at the truck it just has so much potential
