Awhile back I posted about my turbo puffing and what not... A turbo removal and cleaning solved that, my unison ring was jammed up with soot. Turbo is flawless now. However, i still have the low baro reading code. I replaced map sensor and it reads 97 kpa koeo. Which is pretty much where it should be, my other cars all read 96-97 kpa koeo, and now so does my f250. Sooo.... My baro should also read 97kpa, or close to it. But it reads 81. I replaced the baro with a brand new fomoco oem part, still... 81. This is wayyy to low. When i unplug the baro sensor the pcm defaults to 98 kpa. only when baro is connected back up does it drop on back down to 81
Now to the core of the question. When a guy uses a tuner "sct, edge" and so on, will they manipulate baro readins and such for more power? If so.... Could it be that the prior owner left a tune on the truck when he got rid of it. Orrrr...
Do you guys think i might have a wiring or pcm problem?
I tested the connector to the baro, pin 2 has 4.99 volts koeo, both to ground, and to pin 1. Seems good to me.. I dunno
It does not show ebp sensor, just map and baro out of the 3.
I think my pcm was flashed to delete the use of the ebp.
The 6oe17 update or whatever its called.
So it cant see ebp.
Hopefully i can find whats causing the map and baro to not match.
Its an 03 f250. Which gives it the addicting turbo whistle. Kinda loud but I love it.
The map at koeo is 97kpa.
I dont know if it matters or not, but the cat converter has been deleted by prior owner and a straight pipe is in its place. Nice job actually, nice welds on it.

Well FORD Spec for BARO is 96.5kpa and same for MAP at KOEO
Im thinking the BARO wire harness is chaffe or a plug not fulley seated
with Both Old/New Baro sensor reading the Same odds are the Baro sensor is OK and wireing issue plug issue and slim chance bad PCM but PCM are good and dont fail very often at ALL
When you get the truck Back check MAP & BARO readings again at
KOEO=report value
Low Idel=report value
High Idel (2500rpm)=report value
I do have a feeling these will be good but verify and its going to be a wire problem to Baro
Going to need to Check continuity for BARO Wires to PCM Might even need to Load Testt Baro wire Harness cuz it can check Good for continuity but Fail with Voltage Load
Here is a Link to PCM Plug Pinout so you can see what Pins need checked
